On Sunday May 15th, we had the privilege of going out to North Woodmere Park to cover the second annual 5 Towns 5K Run/Walk. The run/walk is in support of Beit Halochem. It was an incredible event with over 500 participant and the race was sold out!! There were lots of serious runners as well as families who just wanted to spend the day together helping Beit Halochem. The first place runner finished in 19:50, a great time!!! They also had a special appearance by New York Senator Dean Skelos (Check out the picture below with race founder Isaac Seinuk).

Friends of Israel Disabled Veterans (FIDV) and Beit Halochem are committed to caring for Israeli servicemen and women disabled in the line of duty, as well as caring for those whose lives are shattered by terror. Beit Halochem centers provide therapeutic, sports and recreational facilities to help them resume lives of purpose and dignity.
